My guess is that one was started by someone on a bologna diet, as they are definitely full of it!
    Many deer camps in the Midwest will harvest a deer the first day to be used for "camp meat" and eat it during their week or two of deer hunting.
    It's also a tradition among some hunters to pull and eat the tenderloins the evening of the day they harvest their buck.
    I have never come up with a reason that some people believe such hogwash.
