First keep in mind that venison is just another red meat like beef, and not some exotic substance from another planet like so many people seem to think.  
    I cook it the same way I would the same cut of beef, and always use a meat thermometer so I don't overcook it!
    Cook you burger to 160F and your steaks to 145F - 155F.
