I owe you and everyone an apology. In the meat business we always have referred to freezer paper as "waxed" as that's the way it was originally made. However I forgot to keep up with the times in my answers and should say "poly" or "plastic coated" freezer paper as that's how it's made today.
As long as it states "freezer paper" that's coated you are ok.
