If you refer to question and answer #39 on our FAQ page you will get a detailed explanation. Basically there are several factors that can influence the time that it will last frozen.
With quality venison and single wrapping (freezer bag or freezer paper) I would give ground meats 3  months and muscle meat 6  months. If you go to double wrapping with the inside layer being vacuum bags or freezer bags and the outside layer being waxed freezer paper, the freezer  life is greatly enhanced. I have personally eaten double wrapped venison that was over two years old with no noticeable effect on the meat.
Keep in mind that it will not "go bad" to the point of being hazardous, it's just that the quality deteriorates as the meat ages. How fast this happens is related to how it was handled and wrapped.
